The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Rabiu Shuaibu, winner of the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency by-election. The Returning Officer, Prof. Umar Sani, declared Shuaibu the winner of the election held on Saturday. He said that Shuaibu polled 35,356 votes to defeat Lawal Garba-Haruna of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), who scored 268 votes, and LP’s Abubakar Yahaya-Muhammad, with 98 votes. “The election was contested. That Rabiu Shuaibu of APC, having certified the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected,” he said.
